UmmahBoard provides a platform for discovering and publishing community information across the UK Muslim community.

Unless we expressly state otherwise, UmmahBoard is not the organiser, employer, charity, mosque, travel provider, funder or other organisation responsible for a third-party listing.

We work to keep information useful and current, but information can change and may be supplied by third parties.

You should check important details directly with the relevant organisation before relying on a listing, attending an event, applying for an opportunity, making a donation, entering into an agreement or incurring significant expense.

You are responsible for providing accurate account information and keeping your login details secure.

You must not use an account in a way that is unlawful, misleading or abusive.

If you ask to claim or manage an organisation page, you must have a genuine connection to that organisation and authority to act on its behalf.

We may request information or evidence to assess a claim. We may approve, reject or request further information where reasonably necessary to protect organisations and users.

When you submit content, you must have the right and authority to submit it. Content must, to the best of your knowledge:

• be accurate and not misleading;
• be lawful and appropriate for the platform;
• not infringe the rights of others;
• not impersonate another person or organisation;
• not contain unnecessary personal information;
• not contain malicious code or harmful material.

When you submit content for publication, you give UmmahBoard permission to host, reproduce, format and display that content as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the UmmahBoard service.

You retain ownership of any rights you hold in your content.

We may review, edit for formatting, decline, unpublish or remove content where we reasonably believe it is inaccurate, outdated, unlawful, unsafe, misleading, outside the purpose of UmmahBoard, or otherwise unsuitable for the service.

Listing submissions are reviewed before publication. Organisation updates posted through an active organisation account may be published immediately when submitted.

UmmahBoard may link to third-party websites and services. We are not responsible for their content, availability, security or practices.

You are responsible for confirming eligibility, dates, terms, compensation, funding arrangements, organiser legitimacy and application requirements before acting on any listing.

Where UmmahBoard links to a fundraising appeal or charity, donations are normally made through the relevant organisation or external provider. UmmahBoard does not hold donated funds unless explicitly stated otherwise.

You should satisfy yourself that an organisation or appeal is appropriate before donating.

Directory information may be compiled from public, third-party or organisation sources. If information about your organisation is incorrect, you can request a correction or claim your page to manage it.

Where travel information is displayed, you must independently confirm the provider's current authorisation, financial protection, booking terms and credentials before purchasing. UmmahBoard does not provide travel advice.

You must not use UmmahBoard to:

• break the law or encourage unlawful activity;
• commit fraud or impersonate others;
• harass, abuse or threaten others;
• scrape or harvest data at a harmful scale;
• interfere with the service or attempt unauthorised access;
• upload malicious code or circumvent security controls;
• submit content through unauthorised automated means.

Ordinary search engines and reasonable public linking are not prohibited.

We may suspend or remove accounts or content where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached or where necessary to protect users, organisations or the service.

UmmahBoard branding, site design and software are owned by or licensed to Ummah Board Limited. You must not copy or reuse them without permission except as allowed by law.

User-submitted content remains yours subject to the licence above.

We aim to keep UmmahBoard available and useful, but the service may change, be interrupted or have features withdrawn from time to time.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

To the extent permitted by law, UmmahBoard is not responsible for losses arising solely from your dealings with independent third-party organisations, or from relying on third-party information without making checks that would reasonably be expected in the circumstances.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts that have jurisdiction will be determined by applicable law.
